Phenolic Labels for Electrical Panels

One of our most common products, and the one most customers know us for. Durable, NEC compliant, panel labels available in a wide range of color combinations for coding by voltage, circuit, or system type. LaserMax by Rowmark is the industry standard for electrical identification, delivering permanent, high-contrast legibility required to meet modern NEC compliance. The LaserMax plastic is UV and has dimensional stability, it won’t warp, shrink, or crack under standard mechanical stress or humidity variations. All of our plastic meets NEC 110.21(B) and 110.22 requirements and will have industrial adhesive and/or holes for field mounting.

Engraved Device Covers for Electrical Contractors

Beyond panel labels, our second most common product is device covers. We produce UL 514D-compliant engraved device covers, compatible with major manufacturers like Leviton, Pass & Seymour, and Hubbell, so your labeling matches the exact hardware already specified on the job. We also carry a full line of Leviton, Pass & Seymour, Hubbell, and standard industrial plates. We are happy to source what we don’t carry. Our plastic device covers are durable thermoplastic and polycarbonate for high heat environments and are high impact resistant. Engraving on these plates are typically paint filled to ensure long-term legibility and are NEC compliant for circuit identification.

Our stainless steel device covers are corrosion resistant resulting in a virtually indestructible lifespan. These device covers are laser-etched leaving a permanent black mark or deep engraved allowing for a paint fill of any color. These stainless steel plates provide a sterile appearance with a lifecycle that matches the building’s infrastructure.

For outdoor, industrial, and mission-critical applications where durability and long-term appearance are essential, Action Engraving offers precision laser-etched stainless steel and brass tags. Designed to withstand harsh environments, these tags provide exceptional resistance to corrosion, chemicals, abrasion, and high temperatures. Unlike printed or surface-applied markings, laser etching creates permanent identification that will not fade, peel, or deteriorate over time.

Aluminum Tags for Equipment ID

Lightweight and durable, our aluminum tags are commonly used for equipment identification and asset tracking, a different application than panel labeling, that many of our customers end up needing for the same or similar projects. These 0.020″ pre-polished, lacquered aluminum sheets are designed to produce high-definition text and graphics that remain readable in demanding commercial environments.

Laser-It Aluminum

Laser-It is easily sheared, drilled, or punched for custom mounting. No paint fill is required, as the laser vaporizes the silver top coat to reveal black text. Laser-It holds up in industrial environments where exposure to cleaners, oils, and wear is common.

DuraBlack®  Aluminum

DuraBlack® anodized aluminum is engineered for demanding industrial, government, and military applications where long-term durability and permanent legibility are critical. Its high-resolution laser marking capability supports intricate electrical schematics, serial numbering, asset identification, and high-density IUID 2D barcodes with exceptional clarity.

Unlike traditional engraved or painted products, DuraBlack requires no paint fill. The laser precisely vaporizes the black anodized surface to reveal a high-contrast silver mark, creating crisp, permanent identification that will not peel or wear away. DuraBlack also offers excellent outdoor performance, with UV resistance rated for 8–10 years, making it an ideal solution for equipment identification, control panels, asset tags, and applications exposed to challenging environmental conditions.

Vinyl Decals for a Durable and Long-Lasting Label Solution

For applications where metal or phenolic tags aren’t the right fit, vinyl decals offer an alternative option for temporary or lighter-duty identification needs. Built to bond to textured surfaces, our high tack vinyl material provides a durable, long-lasting labeling solution.

• High tack vinyl adhesive is designed to bond to materials like plastic, powder coatings, and textured finishes with permanent high tack acrylic adhesive
• Built to withstand harsh environments, including moisture, temperature changes, and general wear with a temperature range from approximately -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit
